Terms, Guarantee & Refunds

Study Strong may decline or end any enrolment at its discretion, including for reasons of capacity, conduct, or conflict of interest. In particular, to avoid any conflict of interest, Study Strong does not enrol students who attend the school at which our founder is currently employed. Enrolment is also subject to availability. Where Study Strong declines an enrolment before the relevant service has commenced, any amount already paid is refunded in full.

The service. A daily adaptive Mathematics practice subscription. A new practice is issued daily only once the previous practice has been completed, submitted, and returned marked.

Billing. Daily Practice is billed monthly with no lock-in contract. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future billing; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide a pro-rata refund for the current paid month.

Founders pricing. A limited number of founders places are offered at the founders rate, at Study Strong's discretion, until the founders allocation is filled. The founders rate is held for the life of continuous enrolment of the originally enrolled student and is subject to the following conditions:

• It applies to the originally enrolled student only and is not transferable to another student or person.
• Continuous monthly enrolment is required. Any cancellation forfeits the founders rate; re-enrolment is at the then-current retail rate.
• A lapse in payment of more than 30 days forfeits the founders rate.

Performance guarantee. If a student completes at least 20 practices per calendar month and shows no measurable improvement within 90 days of enrolment, the following month's subscription is free. A "practice" means one set completed and returned for marking. Improvement is assessed by Study Strong; the remedy is one free month of subscription, not a cash refund. Claims must be made in writing within 14 days of the end of the 90-day period, and one claim may be made per student.

Format and price. Small-group HSC Mathematics classes delivered live online, with a maximum of 8 students per class. Each term comprises 9 sessions, plus a weekly Q&A tutorial with the teacher. A course workbook is express posted before the term begins, including for late enrolments, so no teaching time is missed. The fee is $1,080 per term, paid upfront.

Weekly Q&A tutorial. Each term includes a weekly Q&A tutorial run with the teacher. Attendance is optional. Priority is given to questions about the content and worked examples covered in that week's class. Where time permits, additional questions may also be addressed — these are best submitted to your tutor by email at least 24 hours before the tutorial, so they can be prepared for.

Enrolment and minimum numbers. A minimum number of students is required for a class to proceed. If a class does not reach that minimum and cannot run, any amount you have paid is refunded in full.

First-session refund. You may withdraw after attending the first session and receive a full refund, provided you request the refund in writing before the second session begins. After the second session has begun, fees for the term are non-refundable, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 6).

Missed sessions (student). Fees are not refunded, credited, or made up where a student does not attend a scheduled session. The weekly Q&A tutorial is the mechanism for catching up on missed content.

Delivery and rescheduling (Study Strong). All 9 sessions will be delivered. The term schedule includes contingency capacity so that, if a session cannot run as scheduled, it is rescheduled — ordinarily within the same term, or in the week immediately following the teaching term. In the rare event that a session genuinely cannot be delivered or rescheduled, you will receive a credit toward future Study Strong tuition as compensation. Your rights to a refund for an undelivered service under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected (see section 6).

Format and price. A small-group Mathematics bootcamp delivered live online, with a maximum of 8 students. The bootcamp comprises 9 sessions. Questions are handled within sessions. A workbook is express posted before the bootcamp begins, including for late enrolments, so no teaching time is missed. The fee is $99 per session ($891 in total for 9 sessions), paid upfront.

Enrolment and minimum numbers. A minimum number of students is required for the bootcamp to proceed. If it does not reach that minimum and cannot run, any amount you have paid is refunded in full.

First-session refund. You may withdraw after attending the first session and receive a full refund, provided you request the refund in writing before the second session begins. After the second session has begun, the fee is non-refundable, except as required under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 6).

Where a refund is due, it is made to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of the refund being approved. Requests required to be "in writing" under these terms may be sent through our contact form.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where these terms offer something more generous than the law requires, the more generous term applies. Where the law gives you a right or remedy that these terms do not mention, that right or remedy still applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your enrolment or payment applies to that enrolment or payment. The current version is always available on this page.
